The Football Association of the Czech Republic has begun working with the world-wide manufacturer of Goodyear tires for at least the next two years. The American Goodyear tire manufacturer has become the official partner of the Czech football team.

The carsharing portal HoppyGo has merged with the mobility services provider SmileCar from Czech transportation company Leo Express, thus allowing private car carsharing to be combined with bus and rail transport.

Volkswagen Group’s Skoda brand will build a full-electric vehicle in the Czech Republic as part of plans for an electrified lineup.

Benzina, the Czech Republic’s largest filling station network and part of te Unipetrol Group, started to train its business partners and their service staff attending the filling stations. A special minibus rebuilt into a small lecture hall has been designed for this purpose. The coaches can therefore train the staff directly at filling stations.

Česká pojišťovna celebrates the 190th anniversary of its founding. Its history was passed by prominent statesmen, outstanding personalities of Czech culture and aristocrats. The company has suffered many regimes, war conflicts, sovereigns and presidents, and has experienced a number of events.

A total of  945,780 motor vehicles were produced in the Czech Republic this year, AutoSAP reported. The passenger cars approached the millionth border (940,536). An extra year-on-year increase was recorded in the manufacture of trucks (+ 40%). More buses were produced than in the same period last year.

Hyundai Motor Czech has signed an agreement with the Ministry of Interior to supply police cars. In total, more than 800 Tucson cars were to be delivered to the Police of the Czech Republic. According to the latest news, however, the contract may not be as big as it was signed.
